It was an evening to remember on Friday 24th November, when local MP Brendan Clarke-Smith made a visit to his local Palais Bingo Club in Worksop, where he called the numbers on a special charity game.
The MP mixed with customers and staff on his visit and saw first-hand what a great bingo and social club it is, and the work that the club does in the community. The charity game raised money for the Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust, which is a national registered charity, to date the bingo club has raised over £4,500 for the charity.
Steve Race owner of Palais Bingo said: “We enjoyed welcoming Brendan to the club, whilst meeting staff and customers. I am so proud of the work we do in the community creating a social hub for our customers whilst also raising much needed funds for such a worthy cause. I’d like to thank our customers and staff for their continued support. We can’t wait to celebrate our milestone birthday of 10 years with our amazing customers”.
Palais Bingo based on Newcastle Avenue in Worksop also celebrated its 10th anniversary with a party at the club on Thursday 7th December.
